At Rosebrier, children are immersed in sensory-rich play within a calm, predictable flow to the day. There is space for imagination, movement, and meaningful work, allowing each child to engage at their own pace.

Over time, children settle more deeply into their play, form strong relationships, and find their place within the group.

This rhythm shifts subtly with the seasons and the energy of the group

  • Daily life at Rosebrier is rooted in what Lifeways North America calls the Living Arts — the meaningful work of the home and the hands.

Children take part in preparing food, caring for their space, and working with natural materials. They chop vegetables, bake, water plants, polish wooden toys, and tend the garden. Creative work includes watercolor painting, beeswax, wool, clay, and open-ended craft.

Nutritious meals and snacks are included in tuition. We use organic ingredients whenever possible and offer whole, unprocessed foods.

  • The natural world shapes our days. We go outside in every season — rain, shine, and everything in between — and bring the rhythms of the year into our songs, stories, cooking, and creative work.

Seasonal transitions are marked with simple celebrations and traditions that children return to year after year, building a felt sense of time and belonging.
